Fall 2012 semester:
“The United States: An American Culture Series,” a free, non-credit USC class designed to help incoming international students acclimate to American lingo, food and culture. I co-taught this class with a member of the Office of International Services office. Following a set syllabus from the Office of Orientation, we led a weekly class of 60 students from China, India, Macau, and East Timor. Class topics included American slang, American politics, Los Angeles history, and American sports. The class will featured some out of class activities and field trips, including taking approximately 300 international students to the 2012 USC vs Cal football game.
